Caption says it all. Oxtail nachos are Phenomenal for brunch. The cheese and gravy mix they have is the perfect combo for this.
Omg omg omg, this place is sooo cute!!!!!! The ambience of this location is absolutely beautiful. The food was sooo amazing. The spinach dip was a must and the egg rolls were top tier. Our server was soo sweet and our lemon drop martinis came out really fast. The upstairs lounge is a cool karaoke spot to enjoy with friends and smoke hookah.
Came here a couple times with a girlfriend. The food is great! They offer an all day happy hour for ladies night on Thursdays. The white tea drink, lemon drop martini, boudin egg rolls and spinach dip are all very delicious. The stuffed chicken is good too, but it gave me terrible indigestion, so take an antacid before. Great for date night, celebrations and ladies night out. The service is top notch as well.
First time diner at KISS HTX. Not bad. We initially had a 6pm reservation that had to be pushed to 6:30 due to traffic. The final party arrived at 6:38pm so it wasn't too bad, but I think the delay aggravated the staff because they were slow to seat us (even though you have a 15 min grace period to show up). So bear that in mind when you choose your time slot, because parking can also be a hassle if you don't intend to pay or valet to park. Once my cousin, her friend and I actually sat down I can say the ambiance, food & service was a 10/10 -- all thanks to our server Benicia. When it comes to the food, you're guaranteed to enjoy whatever you order. We chose the boudin eggrolls and calamari for appetizers. Both were seasoned well and tasted good. I only wish the calamari also had an aioli based sauce to go with it. For dinner we had the chicken caesar salad, snapper and the jerk lamb chops. The only word I have to describe the entrees is SCRUMPTIOUS. The jerk lamb had just enough spice without being overpowering & also came with this really well balanced and mildly sweet reduction sauce to enhance the dish. It was served over the perfect consistency of mashed potatoes & some damn good collard greens. I also sampled the snapper (if you don't eat meat get this) & the salad which was really good, just had to order extra dressing. The drinks. Man. One thing about KISS. The drinks will be s t r o n g. I got the strawberry lemon drop martini. While it was good, just know there is liquor in every sip. If you're a light weight like me one drink will have you feeling too good lol. When it comes to the drawbacks, what's listed on the menu regarding the drink prices may not be what you pay. When we got the breakdown of the check we noticed we got charged for the liquor, the martini & charged for the flavoring of the drink. What is listed as $15 wound up being $21 for the drink. I also don't like that you can't split the check. I'd understand if it was a party of 5 or more but for 3 people ? Sorta ridiculous. Gratuity was also included & dress code is enforced, no exceptions. Other than what's mentioned it's a vibe, so come check them out.
Awesome! I normally give a full fledge review but, all was good on the home front. I think you and your friends should get separate items so you can taste the different flavors of savory.
